March 19 - Getting Ready for SILs

 I will be seeing my SILs (Sister in Laws) this coming weekend.  I'm excited because they are 1) super fun and 2) because I get to give them some hand me downs!  Can I get a Woop Woop!  Here are some things that I've been saving for the nieces.

March 17 - The Stairs

As I was trying to take the Christmas boxes upstairs, this is what I ran into....

March 16 - The Other Side

I'm back in the small hallway.  Lets take a look at the other side, shall we? Yep, these are my christmas decorations and maybe some Halloween too!  They made it to the 2nd floor but not the attic on the 3d floor.  Do you think the boxes are in the attic?  Not yet, maybe another day :)  I left the ski/snow box out since it is suppose to snow this weekend- we might need some snow pants and jackets.  Sorry the pictures are dark.

March 15 - The Hallway

This is a small hallway leading to the 3d floor.  I tend to put things along this hallway because you can't see them.  Well I need to start putting things away because I'm starting to look like a Hoarder.  This post is only 1 side of the hallway.  The first bag is stuff that I need to put away.  The second bag has hand me down clothes for my nieces.

March 14 - Too many Chips!

This post makes me look like a junk food junkie!  For the record I love salads and veggies. Half of the bags were either stale or had just had crumbs in them.  Not only do I shove things in drawers and cabinets, I guess I also don't throw away chip bags!

March 13 - The Bench

Well It has been over a week since I posted any pictures.   I have been organizing or "picking up" everyday!  Here is the bench in my room, another surface to throw things on.  This was really just putting things away.

March 12 - Paint Cans - GONE!

I have been wanting to dispose of paint cans since I moved into our house ( almost 3 years ago).  The previous owners left at least 30 cans of paint in the garage.  Well, I finally packed up some of the cans and headed to the paint disposal area of the dump.   I was so excited.  I know, that's sad, but look how fun this is...

March 10 - My Clean Car

It was sunny and beautiful outside this weekend.  We washed my car and cleaned the inside.  I should have taken a before photo of the goldfish, shoes, soccer balls and papers on the floor in the backseat.  I forgot, but I took some after photos.  For the record, this will not last but I will enjoy the few days that it stays clean.

March 8 - Bathroom Cabinet

Man, I am messy!  I just throw things in cabinets and drawers and freezers and blue buckets.  I'm not sure this organizing thing is for me.  At the same time I'm thinking thank goodness I've started going through my stuff.  I'm like a HOARDER!  Speaking of Hoarders, I love cleaning my house while watching Hoarders.  What is up with that??

March 7 - Paper Work...

I mean, what?  The blue bucket is annoying.  I couldn't fit any more paper in the bucket so I decided to start organizing.  You will notice in the after photo that there are still papers in the bucket.  YUP, I couldn't get rid of it all.  I'm sure when I tackle the guest room/office  (never, some day) I will figure out what to do with all the random stuff.

March 6 - Bedside Table

Ok- so after I downloaded these pictures I thought- Does this chick eat tootsie rolls in her bed?  I don't remember eating tootsie rolls and I don't remember putting the wrapper in the drawer.  Eeeks.  Check out the crumbs in the drawer...

March 5 - Medicine Cabinet

I've heard that people love to go through other people's medicine cabinets.  So this post seems kind of fun because I am showing you my medicine cabinet.  You don't even need to pretend that you have to use my bathroom upstairs.  The funny thing is there is almost no medicine in my "medicine" cabinet.  It's mostly wrinkle cream (which isn't working), lotions and lip balm.  I was able to get rid of 12 items.  Most of the items were either old or almost empty.  Here is the before and after....

March 4 - Laundry Room Shelves

Today I organized the shelves in the laundry room.  This included going through the miss matched socks box.  Clearly I need to do this more often :)

Next I worked on the counter area.  It is another flat surface that attracts STUFF!!  Most of it was recycling or things that just needed to be put away.

The laundry room is always in need of cleaning and organizing since I'm in there all the time.  I was hanging jackets on top of jackets so I started with the hooks.  I added 2 jackets to the donate pile and put some other jackets in the hall closet.
